It’s officially official! The first UC San Diego Blue Line train departed the new UTC Transit Center at 5:03 a.m. 🎉 Trains will be running every 15 minutes for most of the day, and all Trolley lines are FREE to celebrate the grand opening.

The (beginning of the) end of an era. We officially started transferring our SD100s to their new home in Mendoza, Argentina. This will complete our transition to fully low-floor fleet which is more accessible for more riders. We expect a full phase out this summer. Bittersweet 🥲

We’re heartbroken over the sudden passing of our CEO Paul Jablonski on Sunday. Paul dedicated 40 years of his life to public transportation, including 16 years at MTS, where he worked tirelessly to bring a great transportation system to the San Diego region.

This is one of the SD100 cars (2000 series Trolleys) that is being shipped off to its new home in Mendoza, Argentina! Mendoza is currently home to our first light rail cars, and when time came for us to start decommissioning the SD100s, Mendoza wanted to purchase these too.

Great news, just in time for holiday travel season! The airport started service on their new electric shuttle from Old Town Transit Center. Now, the airport is a quick Trolley (or bus) trip away! You can catch the shuttle on Pacific Highway, with service 7 days/week🚇🚍✈️
