San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation received a $366,949 grant through the San Diego River Conservancy’s Direct Grant Program. This helped @SDFD acquire the equipment & fire retardant needed to address wildfire threats proactively. For more details, read @MayorToddGloria's update.

FRIARS FIRE UPDATE: Fire confined, mop up of hot spots continues. 15-20 acres burned along north end of Friars Rd., west of 163. Crews will remain on scene for another 4-6 hours. All evacuation orders have been lifted. Roadway restrictions remain in place.
