May as well do #MushroomMonday as I saw these pretties recently - wood(?) blewit and amethyst deceiver.

#MushroomMonday per @botany_beck - my first fly agarics of the season! And a pairing I found noticeable.

Just one for #WildflowerHour this week, lush and tropical-looking apple of Peru in a tree pit in London.

Nothing for #WildflowerHour this week but this has to be the earliest I've seen winter-flowering cherry in bloom. Looks especially odd with the still-green leaves.

Innovative idea: charge extra for small children, to discourage people inflicting them during long journeys.

A chiffchaff is singing in the garden for the second day in a row. Along with mild sunshine, it's a final sigh before winter arrives.

A bit cheeky as it's not flowering, but a rather unusual street "weed" seen in London this week, maize #WildflowerHour

I hadn't realised how thoroughly remodelled London Bridge mainline station had been since I commuted here in the late 2000s 😳

Nobody on here to see them but for completeness here are some fringe statistics. 156 shows seen in total.

Believe it or not, that's two totally different clown shows in two consecutive days where I was brought onto the stage by being "fished" with a fake rod, and where one of us "got pregnant" with comical results.

Amongst the Edinburgh bustle and shows, a couple of notable novelties for #WildflowerHour this week - sainfoin, and a groundsel that seemed uncommonly big and vigorous, apparently "sticky".

Edinburgh on the penultimate Saturday of fringe is as much carnage as you might imagine.

A couple of notable urban assemblages from Edinburgh for #WildflowerHour this week: sunflower, flax, and some sort of brassica (from bird droppings?); and hemp agrimony, erigeron, and buddleia.

I'm sat in a pub next to a bunch of evidently wealthy Texans(?) and they sound like PARODY. But in a fun way.

Wow when you get a chatty train guard and ask the forbidden operational questions you get SCHOOLED.

The fringest thing I saw today was either somebody flyering a dog, or giving a balloon animal to a parked car.

You know it's fringe when... the coffee kiosk in the park has a DJ (with a deck!) 😅
