Oh, it appears the new iOS 26 API I has hoping to play with this weekend is fundamentally broken in Dev Beta 2, with even the sample code provided by Apple breaking completely. Ah well, will have to wait until the next beta (hopefully)ā¦.

The Allison Bailey judgement tells us this: if you have professional dealings with gender critical people who are rude to you or your staff, make a note of everything they say and do so that your actions can be proven to have been taken on the basis of their behaviour.
Congratulations to Allison Bailey who has won her case against the vets! Despite the judge's finding that "there is evidence that Ms Bailey did not behave well towards the staff in the practice" (para 123). Streisand effects all round.
