I’ve watched Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein twice now, and I love how it’s the exact midpoint of Crimson Peak GdT and Hellboy GdT. The literary gothic and the comic book pulp are pages of the same book

BTW: feels like there's a relatively neat answer to why Ben Solo is alive – the Force dyad. He and Rey are basically trading life force back and forth (steady) for the last act of Ep IX. Their bond is a unique Force anomaly; you could play that card without removing stakes in SW

Just a little nugget from @MrGodfrey's interview with Julia Ducournau, but I love it. Still thinking about the final act of 28 Years Later all these months on 💀
Titane director Julia Ducournau ‘bawled’ at #28YearsLater's humanist ending, she tells Empire. “[It] made me cry my eyes out,” she says of Dr. Kelson’s Bone Temple. “[It] makes them beautiful, makes them art.” READ MORE: https://t.co/MMI4XtTx0f

There was a glorious time when Halloween used to mean a brand new Mike Flanagan miniseries
