Hearing a “He’s gay” chant that isn’t homophobic. It’s wild that it’s so refreshing. It’s 2023. But being able to track wrestling audiences’ shifting viewpoints over the decades is pretty remarkable.
Hi, I’m going to cheat and share the top three that come to mind:
1. “But You,” iKON
My mind exploded when I first heard it. It’s so good and I needed this opportunity to pledge my undying love for this instrumental.
(The entire album is insanely good!)
@CraftBeardMI
@ToucheChicago
Good on you for recording these videos. Lately “no videos” is code for “We know this is fucked up and we don’t want this online.” This was disgusting to read about and unreal to actually see.
I started mentioning chronic illness in my Tinder profile. I do wonder if the response would be different if I said disabled. It’s a weird aspect of trying to date now. So many guys will explicitly say they want someone “healthy” and “active,” which I usually take as a sign.
People always get upset when I tell them to ask this question when they first start dating someone because I suspect they know they’ll be very lonely if they do.
I met a guy who learned I like wrestling and he mentioned meeting two older folks while on vacation in another country in 1999. They told him about their granddaughter who was on the side of buses for WWF. And with the power of useless knowledge, I solved a decades-old mystery.
I’m glad to see more people talking about this. I love
@AnaMardoll
’s critiques (and really everything xie tweets), and to see xer piled on and maliciously mischaracterized by the author and her hateful friends has been so frustrating.
So the latest controversy on book twitter is that someone with a lot of author friends wrote a gendercide book, which usually are terrible about trans people. The author said the book wasn’t terrible about trans people. The author’s friends said to read the book before judging…
Honestly, the stereotype that deathmatch wrestlers can’t wrestle is outdated. Anyone who believes that isn’t keeping up with the deathmatch scene, which means they’re missing out on some of the legit best wrestlers going today.

Sam Asghari is threatening to release ‘extraordinarily embarrassing’ information about Britney Spears if their prenup is not renegotiated, Page Six reports.
He allegedly wants Britney to pay him more than what their prenup provides following their split.
Musk put 44B into a company he didn’t really want and is rapidly driving to bankruptcy.
If billionaires are okay with flushing that kind of money in the span of like two weeks (if that), imagine if they…I don’t know…put it toward humanitarian efforts?
Pro wrestling is not an isolated, apolitical activity. Sports have never been apolitical. Entertainment has never been apolitical.
The very essence of pro wrestling is political.
I’m not even worried about JimBob847284 who says wrestling isn’t political.
Hell of an issue to make my PWI debut in, huh? Growing up, I had photos from PWI collages on my bedroom wall. Having an opportunity to work with PWI is a literal dream come true, and my bucket list only gets shorter from here ❤️
Cover story, baby!
This article is very close to my heart. I have a feeling it’s a bit unlike what people are used to, but I put love in every word I spent writing and every moment I spent researching.
This is far from the full story, and I’m happy to see how it continues.
Has Speaking Out changed the culture of wrestling? Wrestling's most noteworthy abuser has unlimited passes, the timeline still stans Darby, people are speaking out to say their exes were jerks, and the movement never did anything for POC. As they say, the more things change.
What wrestlers have OF or sell content through other platforms? This is for an article.
If you do customs, sell used gear, or do sex work outside of your wrestling persona, I’d love to hear from you. Messages will stay confidential and contributions can be made anonymously.

This comeback is already huge! And I love how they all anticipated it, based on how hard their promo has been leading up to and immediately following the album’s release. It’s so gratifying and so deserved!!
A friend posted this on Facebook. I don’t know if he wants his name all over Twitter, so I cropped it out, but I feel like this a good thing for folks around the Chicago area to know.
But also, a good excuse for a PSA:
Don’t be a creep!
Don’t look the other way from creeps!
I’ve seen more on my timeline about Teddy Hart than I have about Samantha Fiddler.
Please help change that. If anything, that should be the outcome of this documentary.
And if the Hart family hasn’t offered her family financial support for this investigation, shame on them.
Am I the only one who hears the Hardy Boyz theme in a shit ton of random media? Because I feel like more people should have realized it wasn’t owned by WWE.
It is genuinely shameful the way people are responding to Vince’s retirement. Wrestling will never be safe for women, not when the dominant message across gender and generation is that if you have enough power, you will always matter more than your victims.
I’m listening to the Art of Wrestling and I’m so here for

continuing to educate his friends and his audience on slurs and offensive language. It is absolutely never too late to learn, grow, and respect others! Change doesn’t happen immediately. It’s a process. ❤️
With the digital issue available, I’m happy to introduce this article and Billie Starkz to PWI readers. I waited for this issue and watched Billie continue to pile on new achievements.
“Most Likely to Succeed” isn’t just a cute title. And she’s barely scratched the surface.
It’s finally in my hands! As 2022 nears its end, I can’t pretend I’m not awestruck by this dream I’m living. I’m ending the year holding two issues of PWI that feature my work. And I realize that, true to my 2022 goal, I brought deathmatch with me. This is only the beginning ❤️
Some important bits for the non-readers out there, but I do encourage people to keep up with these stories. I know people say they don’t watch the news for reasons X, Y, and Z, but you still need to be a responsible global citizen and learn about what’s going on.
ICWNHB is my favorite independent promotion. The quality of their shows and their growth, in terms of promotion and talent, makes me incredibly happy. They’re doing great things and now they’re truly building international ties with Australian and UK deathmatch.
So my date was actually good enough to warrant a second date! He’s a wrestling fan and we have a lot of things in common, so we talked about wrestling and all the weird things we like. He likes Anne Rice and he’s even seen Trekkies, so I consider this a win 🥹
I can finally reveal the answer to my cryptic tweets.
“Queen of This Scene” is the product of and a tribute to women shaping wrestling history.
Buy the digital issue, read Kasey’s incredible story, worship badass women, and really think about the beauty of deathmatch.

I’m sharing my resignation from Newfields to illustrate just a portion of what I was put through.
I’d like to add that my department is incredible and my supervisor has been put in a very difficult situation as a marginalized person without support from the institution.
My next and last commentary booking is 4/12, and I’d like to change that.
I’m a professional storyteller who brings my unique perspective and wit to color commentary. I actively promote and enjoy shows, and I make every appearance look like a gala.
Indianapolis based.
I applied for a job yesterday, interviewed a couple hours later, went in today and got hired! I don’t know why everyone else makes it so difficult, but the broke bitch saga is finally coming to an end 🥹
Chris Evans to play Gene Kelly in an upcoming untitled film.
Based on an original idea conceived by Evans. The film follows a 12 year old boy who works on the MGM Lot in 1952 & begins to create an imagined friendship with the legendary movie star Gene Kelly.
I’m sending this photo to all my friends to get them in the theater with me, then I’m watching their reactions once they realize I’ve tricked them into watching a depressing family tragedy.
First look at Zac Efron as pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich in Sean Durkin’s ‘THE IRON CLAW’ for A24.
Harris Dickinson, Jeremy Allen White and Lily James also star in the film.
@nisslbodies
I always love the phrases that white people equate to slurs, because the overall reaction to white people using actual slurs never matches the hysterics they get into being called print paper people, mayo, etc.
The salon I go to does beautiful work, but they don’t list their prices. I tell her I’m trying to spend under $100 and ask how much a cut would be vs. a cut and color. “The cut is 45 and the color would be 80.”
Anyway, $150 dollars later 🫠
For all the indy poaching they’ve been known to do, you’d think they’d do better than to rip one of the most unique, identifiable looks in wrestling. Control your own narrative 😩
I’m incredibly happy and proud to share that my article for Fightful Magazine, “2021: The Year of Deathmatch” is available in the print and digital editions of the Jan/Feb issue.

Roe v. Wade has been overturned! This clears the way for states like TN to pass stronger protections for the unborn, and is an answer to a prayer for so many.

I was thinking earlier about how work expectations for disabled folks are to act like they don’t have a disability. I just started this job and I don’t qualify for FMLA for another year and it’s frowned upon to be late or take sick leave when you first start a job.
People tell disabled people to get a job. But never how to stay in one.
How or when to explain your disabilities without losing the ability to work.
For example, this is what happened when I worked In DC for an international agency.
If you’re a wrestler who’s going to Japan or even dreaming of going to Japan, let me introduce you to my wonderful tutor! She’s a professional English teacher who also loves pro wrestling and crafts wrestling-focused lessons.

Hey I had a job offer this morning. That’s pretty neat!
I’m not teaching, but I’m getting back into secondary education, stateside this time. I guess that’s the next chapter.
Less scoops, more research.
Less personalities, more critics.
Wrestling media holds its own responsibility in the everyday tragedy we’re seeing unfolding.
A blurry commemorative photo of my first time on commentary. It’s literally my childhood dream come true! It was a great time and a great show, so definitely keep your eyes out!
I haven’t gone on a lot of dates in the past year, but I really do feel like being open about my illness makes me less attractive to people. Who knows how much of that is my own projection.
For those of you who enjoy my abysmal attempts a dating, in a shocking turn of events, I have a date with a normal, attractive human being I met on Tinder, who knows about and is actually interested in my wrestling stuff.
I signed the paperwork for a job in Korea. If all goes according to plan, I’ll be moving to Incheon toward the end of August.
I probably won’t be at SCX next year, but if you have a chance to go or be a part of it, please do. It’s an incredible convention with incredible people.
I have an interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it goes well so I can unlock my tweets and share this dumb stuff with…everyone who currently interacts with my tweets.
@keyon
For anyone who wants a tip, go back to who, what, when, where, why, how. A lot of times, those are the missing parts that will add length and substance. Worst comes to worst? Throw some quotes in.
There is no sane way to say “Well if they didn’t make him mad he wouldn’t have to beat them up.” Copy and paste that onto any other dynamic where someone perpetrates violence and you know how that sounds, right? You know where I’m going. It doesn’t sound great.
If you have a spot on your show, I want to talk to you! I’m an Indianapolis-based on-mic personality with a (good) personality and a witty, stylish professional who I can guarantee isn’t like anyone else.
