participated in a joint training this week covering mass casualty response in collaboration with

. This training prepares
#firefighters
and police
#officers
to work together in a safe and coordinated fashion when responding to large-scale incidents.
As we replace vehicles in our light-duty fleet, we are taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint. Last week, we acquired two Ford Maverick Hybrids and two Ford Rangers. The new vehicles are being prepped with

logos now and will be in service soon.

A Heat Advisory will be in effect today, Tuesday, June 11th from 11am through 8pm for inland areas.
Temperatures in inland areas are likely to reach into the mid to upper 90s, with warmest spots reaching the low 100s. The coast will see highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.

. Participants simulated collaborative management of a quickly expanding vegetation fire. Thanks for a great exercise!
The vegetation fire on San Tomas Expressway was declared under control at 2:47pm. San Tomas Expressway has a lane closed while fire crews complete mop up and clear the scene. No injuries were reported. Cause of fire is under investigation.
