Interesting. (Although, I was not aware that doing 9 Starship IFT's with variable success equates to being able to sell "Starship services to Mars" as if it's available today, curious which timeline this agreement has and if this is for a cargo only flight or with crew. )

100KW is a bit more than the ISS produces at peak with its solar arrays. For ISS, solar is fine. It has plenty of sun & its operations don't take much power compared to surface operations. It takes more to drive rovers, extract materials, and not freeze through lunar night.

Hearing the idea of putting a 100KW reactor on the Moon is the first sign of seriousness toward lunar exploration that I've seen in the U.S. The timeline is too long, and the power output is too low, but it is still promising. Lunar bases need nuclear power to work for real.

I paid for this film. Totally worth it. Amazing insights from the creators of RPGs. Now it's free. No excuses not to see it if you're an RPG player & would like a look into how things turned out as they did, and alternatives.
