Rappers writing multiple corny bars about racism against Black people (Rodney King, Emmett Till, etc.), multiple movies where grown men dressed up as negative stereotypes of Black women, a spike in respectability politics after the 2008 election, it was nasty.

I will not rest until more ppl acknowledge that almost every cultural product that people glorify as “for Black people” was done by people who exalted not just Black rebellion but pan-afrikan Black resistance And I want people to admit they’ve recently unwisely strayed from that

But he hasn't said this. He hasn't articulated what his journey looked like. His fans can't do this work for him.
Tyler grew up a hood baby resenting his community. He had unconventional interests & felt those brought outside noise from the Black people around him. That in conjunction with the issues with his father made for some unsavory views. But we aren’t fixed people. He grew & changed.

When I’m calling shit out in real time.. I’m a hater & miseducated & pushing propaganda.. then those same folks wanna come around & speak up long after the damage has been done & it’s far too late to get the fuckery outta here. Shameeee

My issue with society is.. we can rarely call shit out in real time without ignorant ppl pushing back on valid criticism.. just for everyone to realize & admit the truth yearssssss later. Music, politics, economically, tech.. it doesn’t matter. Folks got perfect hindsight vision.

Hind wasn't in the car alone either... her family died first, she was sitting next to their bodies when she called for help.
Hind Rajab, 5 years old, was killed with 355 bullets. An animated film documents the final minutes of her life before the Zionist army executed her with 335 shots. https://t.co/IYJa6s29tF

Tyler’s growth would be great to talk abt if he acknowledged why he grew to begin with. This wasn’t just words on a screen. That red pill shit is serious and the shit he said has real ramifications

It’s one thing to change, but not addressing your past and acting dazed and confused abt why his fanbase is like this is why ppl are so upset
do you want niggas to change, yes or no? it’s lame to pull up tweets 10-15 years ago when it’s very clear he doesn’t uphold those same beliefs or opinions. you are not a #vibe bro i promise

This has more to do with the alt right pipeline and how that coincides with black men but I’m afraid I’m not smart enough to rlly articulate what I mean by that lol

black women are always collateral victims in black men’s self hatred
Yall trying to make it seem like Tyler’s only issue was him being anti black towards himself and that’s not true. He has plenty songs about harming women. His hatred didn’t just spill out onto himself it affected many young black girls & out queer people.

Imagine coming from a community as marginalized as the Roma community in Bulgaria and making it as the most successful singer in the county, no proper education, forcing people to see past his sexuality because of his voice. It’s actually such a crazy feat.
the cultural reset that this was... it marked a before and after in people's lives, children were singing it at graduations, weddings, funerals... https://t.co/ATs044mz82

We’re in a moment right now. And it is no surprise it is being brought on by reflection on D’Angelos pro-Blackness I haven’t seen the TL this united in rebuking anti-Blackness in a minute People are also more and more behind a general strike. Critiquing rallies Keep it going.
