#selftape are NOT the best way to see what an actor can bring to a role. I miss the connection to casting, the notes, the direction. How can that all be on us actors? We can’t mind read what they want. It has to be better.
Just saw an ad on my instagram for a respected casting director’s office offering self tape opportunities for a fee. If we can go to casting and tape, can’t we just go to casting and actually read without paying $50 an audition?.
