URGENT Reminder: Never drive through floodwater. Floodwater is dangerous and it can take just 15cm of flowing water to float a car. Fortunately, no-one was trapped in this car which was floating down Bairnsdale-Dargo Road near Lindenow. Always stay Informed with @VicEmergency!

Yesterday's 16cm hail in Yalboroo, Queensland is a new Australian record. The previous record was 14cm, observed in south-east Qld last year. The atmosphere was extremely unstable, which allowed hail to continue growing before gravity forced it to the ground.

It's another unsettled day across #NSW again today. Some storms are likely to be severe in the red area, some storms may be severe in the amber area but no storms are expected to be severe in the green area. Not all storms will be severe. #warnings: https://t.co/QR2je5GRoh

Fact – Grass fires can move three times as fast as a bush fire, they start easily and spread quickly. Grass fires also have the potential to start bush fires. #getreadyweekend
