A contractor came onsite yesterday to inspect a piece of equipment. New vendor but you could tell this guy was handy and can fix anything. Incredible skill. Respectful too. I like grain elevator work because I like blue collar workers.

I overheard two coworkers talking last week, one said, I eat pork, I can’t afford beef. It made me pause, my family eats beef nearly every meal.

I checked out behind an immigrant mom last week at Walmart. She likely could not buy a quarter beef. It was fascinating to see the items she selected to feed her family. I suspect the groceries were for less than a week of meals.
@bl_ag_inc I always think if you can pay for a quarter beef and processing in one shot, you are rich.

One of my children is a member of a recognized NA tribe. She received $2000 from the tribe in 2022. I invested it in a custodial account at the time. it’s multiplied 2.5x since then, she is 4 years old. It will be a wonderful gift as a young adult.
A thousand times yes, just opened up custodial accounts for my 2 year old and newborn based on recommendations by @Cernovich as well. My kids will have a better life than me.

Named my kids after catholic saints. It’s kinda old fashioned. You think if you name one after the blessed virgin that she’d be meek and mild. Jokes on me.
