Thank you for bringing up the idea of Intellectual Candour @DrSamNewell! Nothing breaks the ice better than when I tell my first year English students that I was strongly encouraged to drop ext English in HS because I sucked so bad at poetry analysis #ascilite22

This hits a little too close to home. I was also named after my now late grandmother who came to Australia not knowing anyone, not knowing the language, never having finished school
