When I was 16, my teacher used to remove me from lessons and threatened to send me home because I had facial hair. She said it was against uniform policy and was “unprofessional”. Hair doesn’t affect someone’s ability to learn, but do you know what does? Being absent from class.
This is a young man I know personally. He is 14 and has had a new haircut (shown). He has been given a 60 mins detention EVERY evening & isolation every break & lunch until his hair grows. Help - is this normal educational behaviour? I am horrified.
