I spoke with Jim Lee, @climateviewer, as part of my research for a memo I prepared on this issue while at HHS. He said that the sulfur content of jet fuel is 400-800 ppm while maximum ppm for diesel fuel for motor vehicles is 15. EPA could address this by regulation quite easily.
