🧩 TOWNSIL is just a piece of a larger puzzle. 🌍 TOWNSIL is just a city in a larger globe, the @humancellatlas 🤝 TOWNSIL represents the most comprehensive SLO characterization to date, and we'll integrate it into broader efforts for a better characterization of human biology.

⭐️ A resource to study lymphoid neoplasias ⭐️ Our atlas will help others in the analysis of lymphoid neoplasms, both for the characterization of the cell-of-origin as well as the identification of gene alterations in disease.

⭐️ SIX5, a new TF in PC ⭐️ The detailed census of tonsillar cell types allowed us to identify SIX5 as a TF exclusively expressed in PCs. ⭐️ Novel slancyte subtypes ⭐️ The granularity of our atlas allowed us to broaden the existing definition of slan+ myeloid cells.

These first vignettes help us personify... 💡THE MAJOR FINDINGS OF OUR STUDY! 💡 ⭐️ A resource for the community ⭐️ By searching in a previously established database (our atlas), cells can be accurately identified (annotated) based on their documents (layers of information).

Through our B cell, we illustrate cell type differentiation stages and highlight gene expression differences with bar plots 📊 📚Yet, we emphasize the need for additional data layers to determine cell identity and function accurately.

🎓Our story culminates in a graduation ceremony that represents the differentiation to mature Memory and Plasma cells.

🎖️Then we illustrate the selection process in GCs, with FDCs and Tfh as teachers selecting the most efficient LZ B cell. 🚦 and the 3 subsequent paths, using contracts as metaphors for lineage commitment and a Master’s degree to symbolize Ag affinity increase during reentry.

🎭 Initially, our comic shows the activation of a naive B cell, recognizing the antigen presented by FDCs. 🔍 BCRs are depicted as monocles with a recognising region (Ig variable region) and other embedded in the head (Ig constant region). 🦠 The antigen is the pathogen mask.

🦸‍♂️ The story follows the life of a naive B cell, the main character, parallelizing a child's maturation journey through education. 1️⃣ The pathogen enters Townsil via crypts. 2️⃣ The Naive B cell enters Townsil via bloodstream. 🚀Our story begins!
