I’ve spent the past few days trying to figure out why my new @Logitech MX Master 4 just didn’t seem to work right. Neither the haptic button or thumb scroll seemed to work. I suspected Linux compatible first only to find that it was this ribbon cable. It wasn’t locked in. The

The EU Chat Control proposal would be a catastrophe for Europe. It would seal Europeans behind a new digital Berlin wall, cut off from Signal and other e2e messengers. It's embarrassing and dangerous that it's gotten this close already. Time to bail to back to sanity.

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. https://t.co/015qmQnIS2

The @FrameworkPuter Laptop 12 is pretty cool. Love the aesthetics. Performance not bad either. 4m13s on my HEY test, which is ~M4 pace. 500 on SP2.1. 28 on SP3.1. Geekbenches like an M2. All for under $1,000.

We've really come a long way in terms of capabilities in the browser. I remember when we couldn't use transparent PNGs reliably. Now we have sites with interactive grass and positional audio based on the direction the camera is facing. 🤯 Nice work @JordanBretonDev!

This phenomenon really raises the question for me around the future of blog-style content. If the content gets absorbed and consumed via AI, how do we keep creators creating? Do the creators just stop one day and we lose that avenue of knowledge transfer?

The AI effect is wild — this is traffic to https://t.co/VOnSF2aVSX compared with monthly downloads of the tailwindcss package. Interesting times navigating this and figuring out what to do with it for sure!

No focus groups. No user testing. Just pure intuition and preference. Sometimes, that’s all you need.

Unpopular opinion: “Confirm password” fields are bad. Forcing users to enter passwords twice adds friction and lowers conversion rates. Why optimize for a couple users who make a typo? Just let them reset their password. More friction for a few, less friction for most. 👌

I think this is an excellent example of just how successful Omarchy has been at welcoming a whole new group of people to Linux. As much as I do sometimes wish people read more, I can't help but also be happy that we've managed to lower the bar enough to even have these issues.

I LOVE @OmarchyLinux the effort by @dhh, @ryanrhughes and the team has been immense!!! 👏🏼 But it’s surprising how many people go and install it without reading any release notes or documentation…. 🫣surely as tinkerers and software “writers” we should know to RTFM.

People dismiss so many good ideas with "we tried that, didn't work", only to be proven wrong by someone with enough determination and the right angle. Turns out we DID need another Linux distro 😄🚀

You can learn a lot by watching how people naturally interact with something. This video from Bog trying out Omarchy is one of the best examples I’ve seen of just an authentic first encounter. https://t.co/kJ2bxj3vWy

This dumb letter, that was never going to go anywhere, hasn't even gathered 50 signatories 😂. Who in the right mind would also sign such an obvious "don't hire me, ever" self-declaration?

Cloudflare just autonomously blocked hyper-volumetric DDoS attacks twice as large as anything seen on the Internet before — peaking at 22.2 Tbps & 10.6 Bpps. Can your mitigation provider’s scrubbing capacity handle that scale?
