Interesting piece of feedback I've received from crit partners/beta readers - they don't like that I have real companies - Lockheed Martin/FedEx/etc - in my sci-fi books. I like having them, it makes the future more "grounded" for me. What do you think?

One reason the decline of Chicago is extra-sad is that it is one of the most occultly-significant cities in North America.
This narrow, spooky early (1916) Chicago skyscraper has been operated by an Ascended Masters/post-Blavatskyite cult (the IAM Movement) since the 1940s. I don’t think outsiders have ever really figured out what goes on in there. Only first floor is open to the public.

Got DQ'd from pilot training at the Air Force Academy due to HS football injuries (broken neck, concussions). Decided to try out the engineering thing that I was getting a degree in. Haven't looked back.
