As bad as this series was, it’s not what lost the Mets the East. Atlanta’s a great team. They showed it. What lost them the East was going 6-8 vs. WSH, MIA, CHC & OAK in Sept. The Mets have to reset and get ready for Friday. It’s a tougher road, but it’s still in front of them.

The Mets need to make a serious change to the lineup. they don’t have a 5 hitter. Vogelbach is a fan favorite, doesn’t mean he’s good. There’s no logical reason why McNeil shouldn’t be hitting 5th. Vogey, Naquin, Ruf, Escobar.. none should be 5 hitters.
