Mob rule will ultimately hurt all of us. Today we lost a young Dr to suicide afraid of persecution of herself and her family - such is the belief in lawlessness because those in charge are the perpetrators Not a one of us in my medical community is untouched with sorrow.

As a psychiatrist working with families my professional advice is to delete WhatsApp family groups especially with extended relatives, in-laws. Those units which are already dysfunctional this is another level where disquiet develops. #FamilyTherapy

Other medical specialists will go to all other colleagues and accept sub-optimal treatments from for their Psychiatric symptoms but will not consult a Psychiatrist. UG/PG training has let them down if their level of knowledge (ignorance) and stigma is at par with lay people

We must stop normalising the almost invisible emotional abuse of women by the husband and/or the in-laws. That kind of trauma seldom gets recognised let alone diagnosed and treated. Women are even judged and blamed for causing "drama" because she can't "forget" the "past"...

Living with older adults when they are your parents is some next level combat Psych training helps *I don't lose it everyday *when I do, I can get back under control a tad bit faster * I don't run away from home That last one I might not be able to hold on to much longer 🙂

"Feeling damaged" after being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult... A lot of relief coz so much makes sense now. But also struggle with acceptance & what it means. Glad to report session ended with more insight & self love #InternationalWomensDay
