To add to this, I think most of the sad books we have in Nigeria have a common theme. Women suffering in marriage. We need more depth to the sadness of our stories. That is why I love “The Fisherman” by Chigozie Obioma and “Buried Beneath The Baobab Tree” by Adaobi T. Nwaubani.
