The depth that mature actors can bring to a conversation just makes my heart sing ❣️ .@raogajraj sir and @renukash mam spoke to me about ambition, competition and life as actors today (not heroes or heroines) ahead of #Dupahiya starring both of them.

What sucks is that #KhushiKapoor and #IbrahimAliKhan will get all the hate (sure, they have a long way to go when it comes to their own acting chops) when it's actually these reasons why the film itself turned out wafer thin - loaded with 'lingo' and not much else.

Underwritten parts really cost an audience their patience. What seems to be a preoccupation was the family drama - then why introduce the 'sexism' angle without any attempt to resolve it? Same with #Ibrahim's conflict. Surface level, with so much promise -squandered opportunity.

#Elle's character. She's blonde and rich but you still root for her because she pursued a greater cause aka Law school. It was right there for the taking but #Naadaniyaan chose to touch in this thread and never came through with the opportunity for #Pia to prove herself.

What worked for #NeverHaveIEver is the protagonist Devi is an underdog, loser even. You feel sympathy for her because she doesn't fit in. #KhushiKapoor's character #PiaJaisingh unfortunately had too much going for her to be empathetic towards. What worked for #LegallyBlonde is.
