Hard to believe this place still exists - and with it's original Fleer's Gum signage still holding on proudly. That's right, what is now Joon's Auto Service in Olney, PA used to be Fleer HQ, where much of those wonderful vintage cards and gum came from.

I just love this picture. There's a lot of disagreement about how long the Jackie Robinson family rented here on Tilden Avenue in Brooklyn before moving to a house in Queens while playing for the Dodgers.

Here's the Stan Musial that I colorized the other day, but this version with the same "50's painted" treatment as the Berra card from earlier.
Working hard to get that effect the old Bowman had where the edges between foreground and background looked almost 3 dimensional 🤔🙂

Sitting having lunch and this young gentleman on the left walked up to the man on the right, shook his hand, and thanked him for his military service. They talked intently for ten minutes, with the veteran's smile as bright as the sun. Really wonderful moment 🙂

Here's a card I've been working on for a long time. I've always wanted to create a card of a very young Hank Aaron when he was maybe 14 or 15 years old.. circa 1948/49.

Today I questioned why Don Newcombe didn't pitch for the Mets in '62. In 1961 for the Dodgers' AAA team he went 9-8, 4.96, in 147 innings. Logical fit.
Well, turns out he went to play for Chunichi in Japan. But not to pitch. He played 1B/OF and hit 12 homers. So there. Weird😆
