Southern rust is now confirmed in Sedgwick County, Kansas, and in two counties in Oklahoma. Despite drought conditions in several parts of the state, scouting efforts should be intensified in late-planted and/or irrigated corn fields. Stay tuned for more updates!

A little Physoderma brown spot on some V6/V7 corn. Not normally an issue in MS, but have been getting a few random calls. I bet this will make @alisonrISU envious #NPMTI #mscrops

This is very interesting. Many times, we ask ourselves whether late N applications actually increase functionality of the dough, or only proteins content (due to the direct N application to the developing heads/kernels), and here is the answer. Yes. @KansasWheat @KStateAgron

Late N had direct impact on dough reological properties... Alveogram index and dough extensibility increased when late-season N increased GPC. 7/7
