Sorry, but I completely disagree with this trade. You’re basically giving Cam away—a player who, at the very least, gave you solid catch & shoot 3-point shooting. He never got a real chance, and it’s a shame. Hopefully in DC he gets an opportunity to even start. Best of luck.
The Houston Rockets are trading Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards for two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. The deal gives Whitmore a tremendous opportunity for an increased role as he turns 21 on Tuesday and returns to the DMV area.

I’d have loved to have him on the Rockets, but since that wasn’t happening, I’m glad he’s going to Atlanta. Not the most competitive team, and not in our conference, so it’s fine. I honestly thought he was headed to a contender.

What I really like about the moves we’re making is the depth—we’re not reliant on one guy (maybe KD). If someone goes down, we’ve got 2–3 who can step up. Priority should be keeping KD healthy all season. If he doesn’t need to play, let him rest for the Playoffs.

Houston Rockets have agreed to a four-year, $53 million deal with Dorian Finney-Smith, which includes a non-guaranteed salary and player option in Year 4, plus a trade kicker, sources told @hoopshype. Agent Michael Tellem of Excel Sports and Rockets officials negotiated the deal.

If the Sixers keep a similar roster, VJ Edgecombe could be like rookie Amen Thompson was off ball in Houston: smart cutter, good defender, but a better shooter. Amen’s on another level defensively (top 3 in the NBA), but VJ should be good from day one. High feel too.
