JUST IN: Dallas Mavericks guard Danté Exum will miss the remainder of the season. Exum has continued to deal with complications from a right knee procedure in the offseason, and it has been determined that a follow-up surgery will be necessary.

The Indiana Pacers plan to sign Garrison Mathews with a hardship exception, league sources told @hoopshype. Matthews has averaged 6.5 points and shot 38.2% from 3-point range in his career with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, and Atlanta Hawks.

The NBA fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $100,000 for violating the league’s Player Participation Policy. The violation occurred when the Cavs held Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley, who are both star players under the Policy, out of the team’s game against the Heat Nov. 12 for rest.
