This is bad. Crypto is not just about trading tokens, it's part of a broader ethos of protecting freedom and privacy and keeping power in the hands of the little guy. And these values unfortunately continue to be under attack, globally.
It’s over (for now). A majority of senators caved to the fearmongering and bush league tactics of the administration and surveillance hawks in Congress, and they sold out Americans’ civil liberties. Section 702 has been reauthorized, not just without any meaningful reforms… 1/10

The big verticals you refer to are the mushrooms in the analogy. There will be a few dominant tokens for sure, but the most important dynamic is what happens under the ground, out of sight. More and more entanglement, diversity and complexity.

My best current guess of the global future of the crypto industry… A US regime of highly regulated and TradFi -integrated major players, small in number and oligopolistic in nature over time. An Asian regime of one or two key players, CCP approved and global South in nature.
