Watch this. My parents are 85 years old and they are hunkered down, riding it out in a cold house. They don’t have the flexibility in freedom just to pick up and go somewhere else.
About 85,000 Xcel customers don't have power tonight. Some haven't had power for days and might not have power for days more. A widower told us he doesn't like to leave his home. It's filled with memories of his wife. But he couldn't take the cold. @spencersoicher reports:

THROWBACK: When CBS announcer Tony Romo used to predict plays throughout the game. This was the most incredible run we have ever seen by a broadcaster. A damn shame Romo was forced to stop predicting every play.

Lived 50+ years in west Jeffco (Applewood, Evergreen, Lakewood, Genesee). Until today, the longest power outage I’ve experienced was 11 hours. We just ended a 31 hour outage, we will get 11 hours of power tonight, then it will be off again for 12-72 hours. This is NOT normal.

I think a lot of people are missing the fine print on this announcement: power could be out for THREE DAYS. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. But it would be smart to plan accordingly.

If you celebrate the death of another human because of politics, then your politics are soulless. Rob Reiner was above that, as you can see in this video. May his and Michele’s memories be a blessing. He was a rare talent and I will truly miss his work. RIP Rob and Michele.
Rob Reiner responded with grace and compassion to Charlie's assassination. This video makes it all the more painful to hear of he and his wife's tragic end. May God be close to the broken hearted in this terrible story.
