And to conclude the season, @brooksrunning came in with incredible support donating a ton of equipment (shoes, shirts, a tent) for the kids on the team.

Meanwhile, the LA High Romans have had a successful track season, with the men placing 1st and the women 3rd in League Finals!

There have been a series of races hosted by Take the Bridge and @sound_running to raise funds for the cause.

@runtechclub hosted an Art Walk featuring some incredible local artists in the beautiful @solaicantec space to fundraise for us as well.

Prior to the track season getting started, we hosted a track clean up that brought out a ton of runners to @LASchools LA High School to clean up the existing track and have a good time. Some of @LoyolaMarymount @LMULionsTRaXC showed up too!

An incredible number of running organizations have come out to help and have donated equipment, @lululemon, @hoka, @goodr, and @adidasrunning as well as a number of Twitter-less local organizations and olympians (@steeple_squigs hosting a track clinic)!

We're pushing $100k raised, over a third of that through the sweat of runners who've gotten their friends and family to sponsor their miles through @goquestify.

Finally, I'd like to thank @fritzvsfritz of @outsidemagazine once again for featuring and telling the story of LA High School. And thank you to all the donors who've already committed $50k to making a difference for generations to come.

The status of disrepair of the track and field makes the track susceptible to damage. Rain renders the track unusable according to coach Premier Peavey (photo below, in case you want evidence).

This campaign is to rebuild the track AND field. Not only are runners going to benefit, athletics, band, and PE classes will too.

After school activities and athletics improve graduation rates by 10%, improves GPA scores by 15%, decreases dropout rates by 10X, improves math and science scores 5%, and improves self-esteem and body image of students. It's also important to note. .

LAHS is the oldest high school in @LASchools. Its dropout rate is double CA high schools. Its literacy and math pass rates are 40% and 19%. It receives Title I funding, but that can’t be used on athletics. Even though after school activities can improve student success.

Predictably, 2020 decimated their already gutted athletics program. This year, LaRue’s Crew is running a campaign LA Saves Track to raise the money to rebuild the track and field at LA High School. Please consider donating. “Why?” you ask. Read on 👇.

In 2019, LaRue's Crew raised funds to give running shoes to every student on the LA High School Cross Country team, where 80% of students are below the poverty line. Many of them were racing in Vans.
