This was an absolutely riveting monologue from Lisa Nandy, even Fiona Bruce failed to interrupt her passionate dismantling of the Tory Government and made Mark Spencer look like the incompetent idiot he actually is.

Quite right too. Vegetarians giving food meaty names is ridiculous. It's like how lesbians shouldn't be allowed to buy dildos: you've made your choice. https://t.co/ZyPaAlMq6w

Twenty years ago this month we lost the little khaki fella Don Estelle. Small in stature, big in voice. This is my tribute. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Lofty, you likkle angle.

Just reading Ben Mclntyre's (typically) astoundingly good book about Colditz, and this bit about Douglas Bader is terrific.

Our Cat Lenny loves a bit of butter in the morning when we're having toast, so I like to put it on the plate as though he's in a fine dining establishment.

I'd have thought his legacy would have been killing two people in a head-on crash in Ireland in 1987, and getting away with a £100 fine. At least to the victim's families. https://t.co/9kgp3OquZq

This is a fantastic article about the growth of Manchester centre, and the results are not what I was expecting at all.
The data supports the argument that the ripple effects of growth in the centre don’t seem to have permeated significantly into the outer boroughs. Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale only have marginally more jobs now than they did in 2000.

I'm at that stage in life where if I want to go and see a gig, film or play and if it's not a matinee, it can fuck right off.
