To recap:.- 1 unhappy customer.- Placed the wrong type of waste in the container.- Received a surcharge as per clear terms.- Responded by posting 6 negative reviews across unrelated brands.- Trustpilot: “All fine”.- Our review about Trustpilot? Removed instantly.

So we posted a review on — about our experience with their platform and moderation. It was removed immediately. Reason?.🗣️ “Detected that your review seems to be about a different business.”. 🤯 We were reviewing Trustpilot itself.

And it gets better…. The exact same review was posted on Google Maps and WebwinkelKeur. Those platforms recognized the duplication and took action. @Trustpilot? Not a word.

To confirm, we requested reviewer's info. In 3 of the 6 cases, we matched it back to the same customer and same order. The other reviews used different emails — but had identical content (“bad company”), later slightly rewritten.

We flagged the reviews and reached out to Trustpilot support. Their advice?. 👉 “Please use the flagging system. Our system will assess if it’s a duplicate.”.So we did. Result?.✅ “Valid review” — even across multiple brands and emails.

Here’s the wild part:. The customer didn’t just post the same review multiple times —.They also left it on brands they never interacted with. Unrelated companies under our umbrella, with no order, no contact, nothing.

Out of nowhere, we received 6 identical 1-star reviews on Trustpilot. All related to the same issue with one single customer who disagreed with extra charges after a legitimate rejection. Fair enough — but 6 reviews?.
