Not an engineer, but this is easily some meaningful part of a trillion dollars. FYI, the Boston big dig was $14 billion in 2007 for a tunnel less than 8 km. Imagine the cost for a GTA-wide tunnel. Clearly there are other, better places for that money https://t.co/mUW8zQQz2P

On this Labor Day, let us remember that it wasn’t the CEOs and billionaires who saved us during COVID-19. It was the janitors, nurses, cleaning crews, grocery and food workers with their hard, often invisible labor.

Yes, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a democracy. The suggestion that Nazism and Socialism are ideologies that fit together is a deliberate misrepresentation of facts and history. It's also a claim that doesn't work. . .

On the 85th anniversary of Black Ribbon Day, we remember the victims of Soviet Socialism & National Socialism (Nazism). May we never forget the countless atrocities committed by these socialist ideologies, and may we honour those who fought to liberate Europe. Canada must

People defending the Liberals over the low-wage TFW program saying it was just some employers abusing it... If that's true, what did the government *think* was going to happen? And why did it take them so long to start to care?

The current Foreign Worker Prog. fosters exploitation of vulnerable workers by succesful brands. In turn, those brands increase profits while stifling wages for service employees. It's a policy decision that leaves everyone worse off. #CanPoli https://t.co/e2YjyOGeMW

In sticking with this "Beer for all" Free for All, Ford keeps a promise that no one asked for, ignores experts on the roll-out risks, and gives the Beer Store at least $225M. Now tell us more about conservative common sense and fiscal prowess. #OnPoli https://t.co/eVsn1AnnPu

The idea that proportional representation is too complex is one of the most misleading claims in the electoral reform debate. 85+ countries, including more than 85% of the OECD, use a proportional system. If they can understand it, then Canadians will understand it just fine.

The proper response to this Ministerial slip up is to eliminate barriers to FOI requests. Instead, it will be used to impose uniformity for any future denials. A strong democracy requires access and transparency. I don't think our current system gives us that. #HamOnt #OnPoli

Why are we asked to sympathize with a developer when a tenant holds pricing power? It's because a tenant finally has the advantage. If a developer wants to build, then they should follow the market and negotiate a price, not cry about it in media. https://t.co/aoeB9WtuB5

Like any actor, the media and its owners have interests that influence their actions, including why certain stories get published. It's why relationships between power and the press should always be scrutinized. #TorontoMayor #HandsOffTheGreenbelt
