Hawks of the Ping Pong Table. Great effort and connection today with a 67-45 win against University HS. We appreciate Coach Goins and their program for hosting us. Finishing out our last fall games. Tuesday @ EDHS vs Portola 4:30 Varsity. Final fall game before we open. Hawk Way.

5v3 Team Shooting. 4 min each team. 5 players on O shoot 3’s. 3 Defenders choose who they want to defend. O must shoot 3’s. 4 min Burst. D gets 1 point for clean rebounds. Shooter follows shot.

SSG: 3v4 Double Team. D1, D2 start in 👁️ formation. O1 attacks them as trigger. O3, O4 hold space in corner until trigger. O is trying to get in dominoes and attack space and advantage. 4 min. Players rotate each rep.

Sam Hauser Shooting: shooter must catch and shoot at high catch point only ( the goal is to speed up shot, elevate dipping or cradling) 2 min Burst per player. 4 players. 2 rebounders. 2🏀. 1 passer. Rotate. This exposes shots missing: left, right and short. We preach back of rim

SSG: 1v1 Escape Dribble for 3. O1 starts in advantage. D1 starts on side and takes angle to get neutral. Once neutral D1 sprints to opposite block while O1 retreat dribbles for 3 ball only. D1 runs out to contest O1. 3 min Burst. Rotate each rep and move spots for variability.

4v4 Sandwiches. O1, O2 start in 👁️ formation. D1 starts behind O1. D2 starts in front of O1, O2. O3,O4, D3 and D4 start in corners and must cross switch. 🏀 handler starts with dribble and initiates. O/D solutions. 8 sec shot ⏰. 5 min Burst. Rotate O to D @BBallImmersion

SSG: 3v2 Offset Attack. O1 attacks D1 at the Offset slot. D2 needs to react to ball movement. O2 and O3 play off D coverage. 8 sec shot clock.

Crescendo Games. Games last length of song. Players must attune to crescendo in song to know points are worth double. Big mistake I used to make: not allowing my guys to play 5v5 early practice. Crescendo=crucial stretches of the game. Point regular in non crescendo part of song.

This is my WHY. So thankful to teach w great teachers at a great school like @eldohawks. The CLA and EDT have transcended from the court to my class to the ⛳️ course as I sent this to a friend. Most importantly I allow my students and players to self organize to success.

5v5 3/4 CRT: on Ball Screen (4) Coverages: Drop, Blitz, Hedge R, Switch. Defense must alternate each time. Burst is 5 min for each team. We need to go against different cover solutions and also may need one on the D end if situation arises. 10th Frame 🎳 scoring for last play.

SSG: 1v1 X Dribble Blowout. 1/2 CRT. 4 min. 2 min each side. Too many times guys fail to find solutions on advantage space in transition. Finding finishing in different spaces w pace a a trailing D player is crucial in transition and close games. O1 X dribbles to trigger action.

5v5: 8 min Qtr. 20 sec shot ⏰. Emphasis: -1 pt to D team if they give up a O board. As we move two weeks until first game w detail and discipline. We need to emphasize rebounding. If team had no score, they would be in the minus until scoring. D was in Run N Jump Press.

SSG: 1v2 👀 Formation Double Team. Two D players line up in eye formation. Second D player taps opposite shoulder ( at half court) and slides beside other D player. O player tries to beat double team to score 🏀. Switch sides after 2.5 min.
