As you know, Japan is the most ageing country and has an increasing never-married population. Because of the strong link between marriage and childbearing, the never-married population will most likely to live alone at later ages.

🎉PAA Poster Award🎉. Although I had to miss PAA this year due to my visa issue, my coauthored paper got PAA Poster Award!. We calculated % of those who have never married & live alone at old age in Japan and analysed how they are more likely to have lower health and wellbeing.

Article for lay audience to understand Japanese low fertility.- 1920-1950, only 2% were never-married by age 50.- In 2020, 28% (men) & 18% (women) were never-married at age 50. Even more among lower educated group. Please help me to spread the article👇.
