Today I'm returning to Bailey Nelson as Engineering Manager which means lots of CommerceTools, Shopify and AWS but just as importantly, no Adobe or Magento.

It's the kind of year that these could be related.

The AWS CDK is 💩. So many hacks for features CloudFormation❤️ supports. Amazon Q is on 💉 telling me to use CDK constructs that don't exist and even claiming versions they were added. Using the CDK for this new project was the worst decision I ever made.

I discovered the "buildEnd" hook for React Router 7 framework on the weekend. This is going to simplify Lambda deployments a lot.
