Anyone know when #Google started using annual #OKRs at company level? They moved to annual cycle for everything in 2019, but prior to that had annual company OKRs and quarterly team OKRs for some time.

No, #OKRs are not the most important things your company is doing. That's Business As Usual - #BAU. Acquiring customers and delivering value to them: revenue generation. OKRs are the most important changes you're making to BAU. They are how you grow future revenue.

#Leadership is influencing other people to focus their effort on a purpose. Maybe it’s their own improvement. Maybe it’s a political or social purpose. Maybe it’s serving your customers. What’s the purpose your leadership is for?.

#OKRs don't work for you?. It's probably not because you have bad OKRs. Implement the three OKR Mechanisms:. * The Planning Habit.* The Execution Cadence.* The Quarterly Rhythm. And have great managers. Which part are you missing?.

When I'm planning my day, here's how I prioritise:. 1) Eat the biggest Frog (do the thing I keep resisting).2) Do the One Thing (work on the most important thing I selected for the week).3) Play Dominoes (get tasks done, aiming to build momentum - small to large). How about you?.

After you finish every task, but before you cross it off the list, ask yourself this one Question:. "What's the next thing I need to do here to accomplish the real goal?". Set and schedule that task in your calendar or to-do app. Do this for every task, and you are unstoppable.

Want to know how to keep momentum at work?. Learn from the best salespeople. They finish every sales call by setting the next action:.- Agreeing the next meeting.- Sending an action-item and summary email.- Putting a followup reminder in calendar. Do the same after each task.

Here's how I start my day:. 1) Commit my finish time to my family.2) Read my personal affirmation aloud.3) Plan my day using Time-blocking (see Deep Work by @ProfCalNewport). Setting the finish time first and telling my family creates a constraint that matters. How do you do it?.

Break Goals (or #OKRs) down into #Habits + #Tasks. Allocate time for habits every week and set up the systems to make sure they get done. Atomic Habits by @JamesClear will help here. Set up tasks in your task manager, include a deadline, and do them (Pro-tip: make that a habit).
