Today, I had lunch with Shullsburg students who are members of the FACT group. FACT is Wisconsin's youth tobacco prevention program. They gave a presentation on the dangers of vaping & smoking. I was joined by UW Platteville Chancellor Tammy Evetovich.

Governor Evers signed Senate Bill 741, which I authored along with @SenKnodl, into law this week. Act 120 is now law, which relates to recommendations from the Ethics Commission regarding campaign finance, lobbying, open records, and closed sessions.

As the State Legislature ends the 2023-202 session, I wanted to take the time to express the remarkable bipartisan work that we have achieved this session. It is truly an honor to represent Southwest Wisconsin.

This session, I had the opportunity to author legislation to continue to fund the Office of School Safety (OSS). This bill ensures that OSS may retain the necessary full-time staffing levels and continue to fund the program through the fall of 2025.
