Did Jobs ever admit he was wrong? I asked Joel Podolny, a longtime Apple executive and now the founder/CEO of Honor Education. “He would have said ‘It doesn’t matter whether I was wrong or not,’” said Joel, speculating how Jobs would have reacted. 🧵 8/10.

The bad, good news: the executives were wrong in their estimate. They grossly underestimated and the number of Windows users buying the iPod was astronomical. 🧵 7/10.

Even in the worst case, they determined that the latter scenario would bring more revenue and net-net, convert some PC users to Macs. Jobs reluctantly agreed. 🧵 6/10.
