Service Structure update for @UplandMe . Public service is slowly getting smaller buildings. They tend to be trending wide rather than narrow on the smaller buildings. Hoping a narrow frontage public service structure will be coming soon.

The first step in a productive conversation is acknowledging the opposition's stance. Not agreeing with it, acknowledging it. You both must start from understanding each other's position. Then work through the nuance of cooperative debate. If you can't...maybe just shut up.

Pro tip for all you @UplandMe service building constructors out there. If you are wondering how big a service structure will be you can get an estimate of it's size by multiplying the service units by 8.5 for UP2. It's a rough calc & not perfect, but it will give you an idea.

It's insane that an authoritarian is asking for other elected officials to be jailed just because he doesn't get his way. Regardless of your political alignment, this should be concerning to you. Is this the government we want? Should democrats be allowed to jail republicans?
I will not back down. Trump is now calling for the arrest of elected representatives checking his power. What else is left on the path to full-blown authoritarianism?

Pro tip. You can support conservative policy without supporting trump. Plenty of anti-trump conservatives exist. Blindly making excuses for every bad deed he has is what's getting people lumped in as Nazis and racists. Pro conservative policy can still be anti trump.

This is an interesting one. Our secretary of defense...oops..war now apparently. Is advocating for abandoning rules of engagement. This is.... concerning. Hopefully they don't adjust the ROE to ignore LOAC. (International Laws Of Armed Combat). Breaking the LOAC = war crimes.

Kimmel will be reinstated after people went nuts on the FCC breaking constitutional law. Carr and Trump have both been bragging about their influence in getting Kimmel fired. Disney heard the voices of the people and have announced the reinstatement of Kimmel.

Trump saying he will crack down on those that disagree with him. How can you possibly see this and then somehow support it? This is the president calling for government to control media. I genuinely feel badly for those who have fallen this deeply into the cult of personality.
Trump on his administration’s crackdown on the press: “When somebody is given 97% of the stories are bad about a person. That’s no longer free speech.”

Politics and policy are intertwined. I think politics should focus on policy. When you focus on attacking people, making money off divisiveness, etc that's not politics, it is hate. Both the right (for some time) and now left (more recently) have devolved out of politics.

This is one of the most balanced approaches to this discussion I have seen. It's possible for BOTH SIDES to be in the wrong in some way. Here it is. Just because you are on team right, don't ignore that the Federal government got involved. This is a major concern.
1. Kimmel was almost certainly incorrect. The shooter dated a trans person, mom said he was left, wrote anti-fascist messages on the bullet. That’s not MAGA. 2. ABC is a business. They can suspend whomever they want. 3. The FCC shouldn’t pressure businesses over free speech.

It's interesting sitting in the middle. 2014 both sides took umbrage with aggression/trumpism 2016 right adopts trump and calls left snowflakes. 2024 left gets fed up, can't beat them, join them. Left adopts rights playbook. Right upset because the left is too mean.
