6. Turn on 2-factor authentication (sometimes called Multi-factor or 2 step verification). App-based MFA (such as google authenticator) is better than text message, but anything is waaay better than nothing

5. Change your password for all your important websites. Use a long password, constructed like a sentence or three random words.

4. Update and run your anti-virus programme on your laptop/desktop

3. Logout of all existing sessions you have running

2. If it is, go to any affected website and if they have the option, see if there are any other open sessions and kill those.

1. Go to the "Have I been Pwned website" and click to get notified of any breach. This will tell you if your data was on Genesis
