Customary post to say I've got my first paying customer. Spent about 6 months working on this app, giving free trials and getting feedback. Now trying to improve the product make a better experience for that customer, which will translate to many users.

Tip for B2B: Don't build every feature just "in case" a customer needs it. You can advertise features that you haven't built as long as you're confident that you can build them in a few days. Will save you a lot of time.

I think I have the biggest fail of the week. I almost got my first paying customer, they tried to pay three times and it failed each time. I tried it myself and found out if you already have a trial account and try to pay it creates an error. Fixed it now and contacted them.

What's your AI daily driver?. In terms of chat, not code writing. I was using ChatGPT, but I feel now that Gemini gives smarter answers.

Most companies have one smart person coming up with the ideas and then 50 people supporting them in terms of sales, accounts, development. Now you can automate all of this with build in public, Stripe, Cursor.

Your biggest competitor?.Quarterly roadmap, 5 meetings, and 2 approvals to ship a button. You?.You built it over coffee with Grok. Keep pretending you’re not a threat.

Real talk: I'm now paying up to $2 for some Cursor requests since they changed their pricing in June. Is there a competitive AI IDE in terms of price?. You used to get all requests for the same price, regardless of thinking steps.

I find myself using a lot of logic when talking to Cursor:."If this didn't cause an issue in this instance, then it must not be the cause of the current error?". "Ah, yes! Let me try to find the real cause of the issue. ".

I think it may actually be easier to copy an existing product than trying to do something original. If you're a 1-2 person team, you can copy a product that an established company has made, but do it for 5-10x cheaper because no overheads and can capture bottom of the market.

I have implemented a new pricing tier for single-location businesses for my reviews & sales analysis app. You can now see analysis of all reviews and sales data to date for $12/month (cancel anytime).

Does anyone here market their product as cost effective?. There are similar products to mine and they have more features, but they cost anywhere from 2-10x more per month. I am thinking whether to highlight this aspect instead of highlighting the features first.

I had a thought yesterday: What percentage of the world that you interact with was made by humans?. Your shoes, your car, flooring in your house, pavements. Things not human made: air, grass, sunlight. Food is somewhere in the middle.

If I want to write posts about my thoughts and musing on Life, AI, Business etc., where is the best place to do this, Substack?. X content is too short form, I want people to intestinally visit the content, not just scroll across it.
