Warning: We had Chubb insurance (home, cars, umbrella, and valuables) for years. When we moved to FL we wanted to continue with them but they treated us very poorly & unprofessionally. We eventually cancelled all our polices and moved them to a new company. Avoid Them!

I am honored by the Board’s announcement naming me as Chancellor Emeritus. It has been my distinct pleasure to serve the State of Maryland as @Univ_System_MD Chancellor these past 5 years, and as @TowsonU president, provost, dean and faculty member earlier in my career.

I attended the @GBCorg breakfast this am... @BaltCoExec Johnny Olszewski has a great vision for Baltimore County and the region, part of which involves two of the major anchor institutions in the county, @UMBC and @TowsonU.

On Sat., Liz and I were honored to welcome many members of the Baltimore and Maryland Jewish community—including USM Regents Gary Attman, our incoming Chancellor @JayPerman and @SenatorCardin—as well as other friends to our home to commemorate the coming festival of Hanukkah.

I was honored to deliver the commencement address at today’s Winter Commencement @BowieState and congratulate the graduates with USM Regent D'Ana Johnson and @PresBreaux. To the graduates of all 12 @Univ_System_MD campuses, I wish you success in all your future endeavors!

Comprehensive universities are in a unique position to address social challenges and bring about meaningful change. I shared my reflections on higher education’s role in encouraging #civiceducation and #civicengagement in CUMU’s Metropolitan Universities @MetropolitanU.

Today I was pleased to join @UMBaltimore Pres. @JayPerman & @UMBC Pres. Freeman Hrabowski to kick-off the Age Friendly University Initiative. As the U.S. median age is increasing, universities should promote intergenerational learning & focus research on needs of an aging society

Thank you to @goACTA for presenting the #Everything2Gain symposium addressing the serious issue of substance abuse on college campuses. Glad for this opportunity to learn from behavior and health experts and exchange ideas on how to improve students’ health and well-being.

My wife Liz and I were happy to host this wonderful celebration of the real impact of the @Univ_System_MD and our institutions. The USM is committed to growing Maryland companies with USM ties, and has facilitated more than 600 start-up companies since 2011. #startups #USMimpact

Glad for the opportunity to speak and represent @Univ_System_MD at the Junior Achievement Inspire event today with @tsadowski13. @JA_Maryland connects with 45,000+ young people and helps them find the right pathway to success, whether it be an apprenticeship, 1st job or college.

I was honored to be present at this exciting moment for @UatShadyGrove and @Univ_System_MD. The new Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Building will serve as a regional hub for innovation and provide more students with affordable and accessible higher education.

Congratulations to Dr. Mohan Suntha on being named the president and CEO of the University of Maryland Medical System. He is the perfect leader for UMMS; his accomplishments at @UMMC and @SJMCTowson are a strong foundation on which to build. I look forward to working with him.

Tomorrow will be an exciting day at @UatShadyGrove. The new BSE building represents the best of the USM regional center model—affordable and accessible education for students, innovation partners for nearby businesses, and quality-of-life enhancements for the entire community.
