I’m very proud to cut the ribbon on Baltimore County's first-ever large-scale ground-fixed solar array! This project moves us further than ever towards our renewable energy goals and allows us to save money while preserving our environment.

The federal shutdown threatens to bring serious consequences for Baltimore County families, its workers, and its communities. My priority is to protect our residents' best interests, support workers, and ensure Baltimore County's stability.

The renovations bring more opportunities for families to gather together as well as more room for visitors to maintain privacy. Patients who arrive at the emergency room can be treated faster and more efficiently, helping the medical team here give timely and critical care.

For 60+ years, Northwest Hospital has provided critical and quality care for countless residents during their times of need. I'm so proud to cut the ribbon today on the newly renovated emergency department, excellent news for the ~48,000 patients treated here every year!

We also celebrated our 21-year ‘Tree City USA’ designation from @arborday with the newly placed sign at the Historic Courthouse here in Towson. With our ReTree Urban Reforestation Programs, we’ve planted thousands of trees across 46 communities.

It was my privilege to celebrate our Department of Environmental Sustainability team members today, including one who has served Baltimore County for 45 years. We are so thankful for this team’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

To the Allen family, we’re deeply sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what you’ve been through in the years since this tragic event. Your courage and strength are inspirations to us all.
