Plenary has been suspended at #inc4 as the Chair has been in consultation on his proposal for intersessonal work that had too much chemicals for some and too few polymers for others - likely a good compromise- but needs approval! Midnight now. What’s next for #PlasticTreaty?

#INC4 convenes in plenary, debating the establishment of 2 intersessional expert groups. INC Chair Luis Vayas Valdivieso (Ecuador) adjourns plenary for informal consultations to agree on the mandate of these groups. #PlasticsTreaty #plasticpollution @UNEP

Line by line negotiations ongoing at #inc4 - it’s [maybe][not] a step forward! - the @SINTEF event ethnographers are recording narratives meticulously!

Tired @SINTEF event ethnographers at late night plenary of #inc4 yesterday where much more exhausted delegates from small delegations drew a line on the sand on 3 parallel and very late night sessions - which was quickly washed away this morning when they were scheduled again 😒

A tale of time 40 years old - and 3 days of #inc4 negotiations left without even having started line by line discussions. Maybe today?
