Ha, good work! Looks ace. That kilncraft is wonderful - did you have cups too? X
This week's @racheleats Polenta with mushrooms https://t.co/dDJSax72kw My first go with polenta- really easy to make & tasted delicious. Used quick cook polenta so no need for an audiobook/wine/legal cannabis! Ooh, the plate... reminds me of Kilncraft Bacchus from my childhood!

Mandarin cream and my eyeson the paper @GrabYourSpoon
A story of ever resourceful Italian cooks & camouflage gastronomic as a way of dealing with not having enough. @racheleats gives a shout out to Corrado Assenza, a chef who has a whimsical approach to flavour. Yes I want to eat his almond cake with bitter orange & mandarin cream.

This weeks recipe plus fitting photo. @helenterrapin like it is 1979 x
This week's super nostalgic @racheleats @guardianfood @GuardianFeast Spaghetti alla carbonara like it’s 1979. Utterly delicious, the wine definitely added flavour & it worked out perfectly. I now also have more books to find & read. (yes, that's me 1979!) https://t.co/L6m16i72vO

Carbonara like it is 1979, according to the Roman food writer Ada Boni, a wonderful reminder of how recipes evolve.

Cream or no cream? Onions or no? What sort of cured pork, or cheese? And who knew that spaghetti ‘carbonara’ probably didn’t exist before 1950?

The essay about Carla Tomasi is on a new to me platform, so not sure if I am over or under sharing ( sorry if it is the former, I am simply keen it gets to those who might appreciate it) it was a collective piece - including @GrabYourSpoon. https://t.co/AFB16IbdC4

Morning wonderful Lucy. I am so happy to see Carla’s picture there. This is a tribute in three expanding parts, this is the first, a longer version will go online and then ‘our’ collaborative essay on sub stack on Monday - thank you for helping me write it xx
A piece about Carla Tomasi by @racheleats . I worked with Carla during the Soho years & Rachel has captured her intelligent quizzical nature. “Fingers like dancers, pulling focaccia” is a lovely way to be remembered. Ave atque vale Carla.

The glut of zucchini made its way into this lovely recipe by @racheleats - 🙏🏽 A bit of roast pumpkin added some sweetness. Good Friday fare. https://t.co/aQ5gPLYHw5

So glad jenny remembered this conversation with Carla, on her terrace next to her beloved garden.
"Cooking is not something you can do if you don’t like it. There has to be something inside you that makes you want to be around food." Wonderful Carla Tomasi talking to @racheleats,The Gannet, 2018. Many loving tributes to Carla over on Insta. RIPCarla

My eyes on the paper @GrabYourSpoon
A classic for a hot day. Pasta with a fresh raw tomato, herb, olive & mozzarella sauce. I’m intrigued by the addition of fennel seeds, which I will definitely try. Via @racheleats 🍅

Every week, for several years now, @helenterrapin makes the recipe from the @GuardianFeast column, and this week it is Anna’s gorgeous but cake made beautifully
This week's @racheleats @GuardianFeast @guardianfood bake - Hazelnut and walnut cake with fig compote. Beautifully light cake with a crisp outer shell. No figs here so used peaches for the compote instead. Must check out Anna Del Conte's books now... https://t.co/b3IwhkpcQN
