It’s been a year since our book was published, and we’ve only just had the chance to celebrate it together. Huge thank you to all our trainees and colleagues who’ve read and supported it, and to our valued and esteemed contributor colleagues from around the world!.
It has taken us a year to meet but at last Rabin, Kaveh & I can finally celebrate our new operative surgery book together 😀. And with a human factors chapter at the front of the book, it’s been another chance to help change culture in surgery & improve patient safety.

One piece of advice that I share with trainees about publishing is to actively seek collaborations, not only within their own units but also on a national or global level. In today’s interconnected world, such opportunities are more accessible than ever. (P.S. Hope I’m not.
Flattered to be sent this by @rabinpsingh who is preparing a lecture on getting published for a forthcoming conference in India. It shows the power of collaboration & what can be achieved by helping/empowering trainees and others around the world. Let's add even more countries!
