The Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) team at Craigavon Hospital recently received the monthly Elective Care recognition award. This regional service will be providing sessions for both acute & elective stone treatment, benefitting patients across NI. @SouthernHSCT

Over 100 beds in our hospitals are regularly filled with patients who are fit to leave. An unnecessary or prolonged stay in hospital can be detrimental for a patient’s recovery. It’s vital that patients leave hospital within 48 hrs of being assessed medically fit for discharge.

COVID ECMO referrals have rocketed the last few days. All unvacc. We haven’t had vaccinated ECMO patient ever. If pregnant & unvaccinated, please please discuss COVID vacc with your Obs/midwife urgently. Vaccination is the only way out of this. @NHSEngland @MidwivesRCM @RCObsGyn
