I’m her up knowing Dale and Erin, they’re great people. Grateful for Dale sharing his cancer story, highlighting how important it is to seek help of you’ve got symptoms, even if you are “too young” for cancer.

For the first time we can, with confidence know the number of people across NI living with metastatic breast cancer. It will help us to plan and deliver care. It’s hugely encouraging that this number is much greater than it was in 2009!
Cancer Focus Northern Ireland unveiled groundbreaking research at Stormont, estimating the number of people living with metastatic breast cancer in Northern Ireland. Health Minister Mike Nesbitt, policymakers, and health officials attended. https://t.co/4FOu46dmm4

Hugely important topic! Crazy to consider that 85% of the money spent delivering end of life care is spent in hospitals, and not in the community where the vast majority of people would like have a peaceful, dignified death
The story about “taken to A&E when dying” is a familiar one - from care and nursing homes too - often overnight and at weekends when there just aren’t the community resources available. Time for wider conversation about what is realistic at end of life?
