now, what is a good amplifier, and what does quantum limited amplifier mean? you also mentioned mixer, don't you feel like you should explain what a mixer is? Thankfully mixers are kind of related to amplifiers. A good amplifier is easy to define, you give me a signal, and I

Proud of the team @Axiomatic_AI — we have the best open source prover on PutnamBench, and third best overall, for pennies on the dollar when compared to Hilbert:

I keep warning that so many of our systems are still built around the assumption that quality writing and analysis are costly and therefore meaningful signals. Our systems are very much not ready for the revelation that this is no longer true, as this planning objection AI shows

It is utterly fascinating to me the number of people making an argument for some type of de facto govt subsidy for the frontier labs by drawing comparisons to (for example) nuclear energy without being willing to accept ANY of the regulatory framework core to that same industry.

A critical part is a lemma stemming from the Knill-Laflamme condition— we show that knowing a few error locations dramatically improves code performance for the unknown errors. And this works even with imperfect information like in a decoder (2/3)

My student Jon Kunjummen’s final PhD paper is now on arxiv. In it we explore how to adapt decoders to enable handling noisy qubits, as well as doing in situ gate calibration during regular QEC. (1/3)

But, we still need to show that for multi-shot proving we can hang with the world-leading effort such as Hilbert from the @Apple team. Details here:
