The biggest mistake I see with AI teams: Treating intelligence as the product. Intelligence is cheap now. What matters is integration, ownership, and whether it actually changes how work gets done. Demos don’t compound. Systems do.

Demos impress. Systems compound. Enterprises don’t buy AI. They buy outcomes.

For years, people adapted to software. That era is ending. Software will adapt to people, especially inside organizations, where AI learns workflows so fast that training becomes unnecessary.

There’s a big difference between AI demos and AI systems. Demos impress. Systems run businesses. The hard part isn’t the model. It’s the workflows, edge cases, ownership, and humans in the loop. That’s where real leverage lives.

Every year I start with New Year’s resolutions. Re-reading 2025’s, we crushed them, some 2–3x. A few truths held up: momentum > motivation, right people > more people, AI only matters when it ships, focus is the real luxury, consistency wins. 2026: less noise, more leverage.

The question then is, if AI does most of the work, what will humans do? I believe humans will still be integral to give AI 'purpose'. Humans will give purpose and direction and AI will execute. Think of it like having an army of workers at your disposal to do any work.

AI agents are the future of work. Over the next 5-10 years we will see a massive shift in the way work is done. We will have AI copilots, assistants and agents doing a bulk of the work humans do online. From AI software engineers, to AI recruiters, AI agents will be everywhere.

Can vouch for the fact that @bonatsos lives by this. Despite not being an investor in our company, he has still always been kind + helped us with anything. Intros, advice, always one email away. For any founders looking to raise, couldn’t recommend anyone more than @bonatsos.

Funny how given the power of Ai, one of the first jobs software engineers want to replace is themselves.
